Contractors must verify new subcontractors with HMRC before paying them under the Construction Industry Scheme. Recording the result, together with the VAT and reverse charge position, gives a single onboarding record.
Who it is for
It is written for contractors, subcontractors and bookkeepers in the Construction Industry Scheme who need clear records for CIS deductions and the VAT domestic reverse charge, so that monthly returns and invoices are right first time.
How to use it
Fill in the subcontractor's details, the verification reference and CIS status, VAT registration and reverse charge position. Keep the record on file for each subcontractor.
