An all-in labour rate is more than the hourly pay. It includes non-productive time, employer on-costs and overheads. Plant rates need the same treatment.
Who it is for
It is written for builders, estimators, quantity surveyors and self-builders who need quick, consistent quantities and rates for pricing and ordering, with the formulas left open so you can check every figure and set your own waste allowances.
How to use it
Enter pay, hours, holidays and non-productive time, employer on-costs and overheads to get an all-in hourly labour cost. For plant, enter owned or hired costs to get an all-in hourly rate. Example rates are fictional only.
