The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) require employers to assess the risks from hazardous substances. The safety data sheet is the starting point.
Who it is for
It is written for small builders, contractors and subcontractors who need practical health and safety paperwork for site. It is a starting point to adapt to your own work and risks, not a substitute for a competent person's assessment.
How to use it
Fill in the substance, how it is used and its hazards from the safety data sheet, then the controls, PPE, storage, spill and first aid arrangements. The example shows a completed assessment.
