On traditional JCT contracts the architect or contract administrator issues instructions in writing. A consistent form makes each instruction clear, numbered and easy to trace through to the valuation and final account.
Who it is for
It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.
How to use it
Complete the project details, instruction number and the instruction itself. The estimate box records the likely cost effect and the distribution list shows who received a copy. Clause references are left for you to complete from your own contract; no contract wording is reproduced.
