Most projects are valued monthly. The valuation is where the real work happens: measuring progress trade by trade, adding preliminaries and fees, valuing materials and variations, and tracking how much contingency has been used. This workbook keeps all of that in one file so each month starts from last month's figures.
Who it is for
It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.
How to use it
Set up the contract sum analysis once, then each month enter the percentage complete or the value for each trade. Preliminaries, fees, materials on and off site, variations and contingency drawdown sit on their own sheets and feed a one-page summary. A cost-to-complete check and a bar chart show progress at a glance.
