The final account closes out the contract sum. It starts from the original contract sum, adjusts for additions and omissions, and arrives at the agreed final figure and the balance still to be paid.
Who it is for
It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.
How to use it
Enter the contract sum, then list each addition and omission in the schedule. The statement adjusts provisional sums and variations, applies optional liquidated damages, deducts retention and amounts already paid, and shows the balance due in figures and words. Signature blocks record agreement by both parties.
