Under section 110A of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 the payer, or a specified person, must give a payment notice not later than five days after each payment due date. The notice states the sum considered due and the basis on which it is calculated.
Who it is for
It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.
How to use it
Enter the contract details, payment due date and the sum considered due, with the basis of calculation. The guidance page explains the timing rules and what the notice must contain. Check the periods in your own JCT contract before issuing.
