Before paying for materials still at a supplier's yard, the employer wants evidence that they exist, are set aside for the project and will become the employer's property once paid for. A vesting certificate records this on one signed document.
Who it is for
It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.
How to use it
List the supplier and storage location, then itemise the materials with identification marks and quantities. Six Yes/No confirmations flag any gaps, and insurance and optional bond fields complete the record. The total carries to the materials off site line of the Interim Valuation Certificate.
