Interim Valuation Certificate Template for JCT Projects

Excel · £3.50 · Blank + worked example

An interim valuation certificate records the amount certified as due at each interim payment stage of a building contract. It is the one-page document the quantity surveyor or contract administrator issues after valuing the work, so it has to show clearly how the gross valuation turns into the net amount due.

Who it is for

It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.

How to use it

Enter the gross value of work, materials on and off site, and the retention percentages. The sheet deducts retention and amounts previously certified, adds VAT where it applies and writes the net amount in words. The off-site materials line can take the total from the Vesting Certificate, and the gross figure can come straight from the Monthly Valuation Workbook.
