On a design and build contract the employer's agent issues instructions on the employer's behalf. Each one needs to say clearly whether it is a Change and what effect it is likely to have on cost and time.
Who it is for
It is written for quantity surveyors, commercial managers and contractors running JCT projects who want a consistent, auditable paper trail from first valuation to final account, without building their own spreadsheets and letters from scratch on every job.
How to use it
Enter the instruction, tick whether it is a Change, and record the likely cost and time effect. The form has a reference number, date and distribution list so it can be logged in the Instruction Register. Clause boxes are completed from your own contract.
